I had already featured the gifted guitarist Alan Mearns in this series before. He is not only known as a songwriter for the music group Yes the Raven, but also as one of the world’s most outstanding interpreters of classical music. With his arrangements, he presents some classical pieces for the first time with nothing but a guitar, and admittedly, he awakens in me for the first time an interest in the complexity of classical music.
I first heard about Alan Mearns in a video by music producer Rick Beato on Youtube. I can only agree: a man of such outstanding talent deserves much more attention than he is currently receiving. I strongly encourage you to check out his releases on Bandcamp or his channel on Youtube.
